I credit many amazing human beings with shaping my life. First and foremost is my mother, followed by Napoleon Hill, Anthony Robbins, Louise Hay, Dr.Wayne Dyer, Walt Whitman, John Keats, Marc Chagall, Maya Angelou, Bella Abzug, Shirley McClaine, Barbra Streisand, Dr. Deepak Chopra, Marianne Williamson, Peggy McColl, Henry David Thoreau, Jeff Keller, Hillary Clinton, Dr.Martin Luther King Jr., Nelson Mandela and so many others. The single most life changing event in my life was the untimely death of my mother when I was 10 years old. At the age of 40, I legally changed my surname from Tessel to Rose to honor the life of my mother, Jane Marilyn Rose. When my mother died, I had the good fortune to be helped by professionals in the area of psychological services. This help led me to my passion in life, providing service to others to reach transformational changes. I saw firsthand the transformative life experiences of myself and others through guided service. I am a believer in contributing both money and time to assist others in meeting their needs. I supports charities and causes locally and globally. I have a particular affinity for causes that assist children in having an awe-inspired life. I am passionate about experiencing all that life has to offer. I am an enthusiastic, advanced PADI certified scuba diver logging more than 110 dives, including night dives and Nitrox diving. I've flown Cessna planes, parasailed, jet skied, snow skied, and swam with stingrays. As a lifelong New Yorker, I love all the culture New York has to offer. I love the theater, movies from all eras, reading, and most of all, parenting my twin boys. I am an accomplished artist, published poet and I am currently penning a book. I can be reached at: “I appreciated Carla’s openness and honesty in the presentation of her research. I expect her to accomplish amazing things in life.” “The energy and excitement that Carla brought to this campaign made the outcome even more unfortunate because it was so important to her.”
-Bella Abzug referring to Carla’s work on her 19th congressional district bid
